I am an artist and a cartographer who mixes both practices to express and understand landscapes. I work as a software product engineer for Esri in Redlands, California, where I design and test mapping features for ArcGIS Pro.
I grew up in Antigonish County, Nova Scotia, studied fine art at Queen's University in Kington, Ontario, and cartography at the Center of Geographic Sciences (COGS) in Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia.
Some of my other adventures include attending the international Pearson College on Vancouver Island, walking as a pilgrim on the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain, printing at Open Studio in Toronto, working as a GIS technician in Algonquin Park, and lots of camping in the Mojave desert.
